Films on Demand Instructor Features
Easily Insert Films on Demand in D2L

Films on Demand have been added to the resources available under “Insert Stuff” in the D2L assignment/activity editor. This means that you can now browse and insert Films on Demand content in your course without ever leaving D2L! We hope this will make it easier and more convenient for you to incorporate film content in your course.

Embed Quizzes in Films on Demand Videos

Infobase has also released a new feature allowing instructors to create quizzes that are embedded in video selections. Please note that in order to use this feature, you must use the Films on Demand website (unfortunately, it does not work within the D2L integration) AND log in your own Teacher account. Infobase offers step-by-step instructions for creating an account and creating integrated quizzes. For assistance creating or accessing your account, please contact Kendra Perry.

Open Educational Resources

Are you interested in helping to make education more affordable for your students? Using an Open Educational Resource (OER) textbook is a great way to reduce costs and dependency on financial aid. Visit the library's OER LibGuide to find resources that can help you adopt, adapt, or create an OER for your course(s).

The LSC building features study space, study materials, and a computer lab. The LSC staff have professional expertise in English and writing, math and science, computer technology, and more. The LSC peer tutors support an array of additional subjects and the LSC tutor training program is certified by the College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA). Our mission is to engage and empower students to become independent, resourceful learners.

Proof of Tutoring Visit

If you want to verify that your student worked with a tutor, they can request proof of their tutoring visit, which we provide either as a signed paper form (on campus) or as a web form (online). Just tell your student to ask the tutor for a proof-of-visit slip.

LSC Scavenger Hunts

UPDATED FOR SPRING 2024!

Introduce your students to the Learning Support Center by embedding the LSC Scavenger Hunt into your D2L course.

This short multiple-choice activity (available in two versions: on-campus and online) tells your students how the LSC works and what the LSC offers. Your students will be more comfortable seeking support... and you might discover something new about the LSC yourself!
