Join us on campus Wednesday 4/20 to watch this documentary about the importance of acting now to save thousands of species before they are gone forever.

We will have two showings in the Student Center at 11:00am and 1:00 pm.

Extinct, Endangered, Restored: Saving American Wildlife 1900-2022

Mark Madison, Ph.D. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Historian

Join us on Friday April 22 to hear guest speaker Dr. Mark Madison discuss the century long battle to protect endangered species. He will chronicle conservation journeys of the extinction of the passenger pigeon, the recovery of the gray wolf, and will look at how future technologies could recovery lost species. 

The presentation will be held in the Student Center  from 1:30-2:30 pm Friday 4/22. Light refreshments will be provided.

Dr. Mark Madison has been the Historian for the U.S. Fish and
Wildlife Service (USFWS) since 1999. In that role he manages the USFWS
Museum/Archives, supervises the History and Partnerships Branch at
the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC), and teaches courses
at NCTC on conservation history, environmental ethics, oral history, and
other topics. Dr. Madison has degrees in History and Biology and received
a PhD from Harvard University in the History of Science. He has taught
at Harvard University, the University of Melbourne (Australia), and Shepherd
University. He also spent three years doing tropical reforestation as a
Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines.
