About the Fletcher Faculty Development Center

Fletcher Faculty Center logo

The Fletcher Faculty Development Center at Hagerstown Community College provides a facility, staff support, resources and workshops to help the college’s faculty members maintain and improve excellence in teaching. The center was founded in 2013 with a grant from the Alice Virginia and David W. Fletcher Foundation. Services include:

  • Consultation and resources for teaching in traditional and online formats 
  • Workshops on teaching and learning topics, including Applying the QM Rubric
  • Frequently needed forms, guides and FAQ answers
  • Work space, lockers, parking tags and copy service for adjunct instructors

Contact the Fletcher Center to request information about faculty services. The center is located in the Behavioral Sciences and Humanities Building, room 106 (BSH-106). It is open to all faculty members Monday through Friday.

hangtagParking hangtags and stickers

Adjunct faculty hangtags: Complete the online Parking Permit Request Form. Pick up your hangtag in the Fletcher Faculty Development Center, BSH-106, or the Student Activities office, Student Center-163. Contact Fletcher Center if you need to pick up after hours. 

Full-time faculty parking sticker: Complete the online Parking Permit Request Form. Pick up your sticker in the Student Activities office, Student Center-163.

Campus Map includes parking areas. Faculty/staff may park anywhere with yellow lines. Adjunct parking hangtags are renewed each calendar year.

To change to PDF default to Adobe Reader, right click any PDF (file, not link)> Open with> Choose another app> Select Adobe Reader and check the box "Always use this app to open .pdf files."

Email issues

Can't access your HCC email?

Information Technology (IT) is in the process of converting faculty/staff email accounts to Office 365. 

  • Sign in to from a web browser, using your complete HCC email address (including and password
  • As part of a two-step authentication process, you will be asked to reply to a voicemail or enter a code texted to your phone on record
  • If you need help, contact the IT Help Desk at or 240-500-2457

Can't find all of your emails in Office 365 Outlook?

In Outlook at, turn off Focused Inbox. At the top right of the page, select Settings (gear icon). In the Quick Settings box, find Focused Inbox. Move the toggle switch to off. In the Quick Settings box, use Arrange Message List to suit your preference for the way emails are arranged (separately or grouped in conversations).

Click "+ Google Calendar" to view larger or search the calendar. Add this Google calendar to your Outlook calendar.
