Students may experience Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or other mental health disorders for a variety of reasons. College adds an additional stress to an already complex situation. June is designated to bring awareness to the struggles individuals with PTSD have. The U.S. Student Abuse and Mental Heath Services Administration created a useful handout outlining several coping mechanisms.
At the college, we are dedicated to helping all students reach their full potential. If you or someone you know may need additional assistance while attending HCC, please visit Disability Support Services.
